The head part has been changed from white PE to black acetal. It is more durable and heavier.

The Head part is made of brass and acetal.
The bubinga is a wood with a solid and colorful pattern.
All heads are the same.
The difference in price comes from the difference in price of the handle wood.

The Palosanto mallet is perfect in every way. I especially like the weight (28 ounces/800 grams) and balance. It is also very attractive. It is certainly worth the price.

This hammer is as all palosanto tools of superior quality. The weight is also very good. It made my toolset complete and leveled up the pricking process.
